As a motorcycle enthusiast who has been riding for several years, I planned to switch to a cruiser last year. I looked at many models and felt that most of them were either American-style cruisers or Bobber-style cruisers—all very similar. That was until I came across the Hyosung Excite 300. At first glance, it felt quite unconventional, yet uniquely distinctive. The design is incredibly strong and completely different from any other cruiser on the market—it has no trace of other cruiser influences and feels very modern. The lines are smooth yet sporty, and the two air intakes on the sides of the fuel tank initially seemed a bit jarring, but after looking at them for a while, they feel quite dynamic. According to the official description, they are designed with a fighter jet air intake style to enhance efficiency, though it's not ram-air intake. The only thing that feels a bit off now is the dual exhaust—it's too large, wrapped in a stainless steel mesh cover, and square-shaped. It doesn't quite match the sporty and streamlined look of the bike. If this design could be improved, the overall appearance would reach a whole new level.

I bought the single-seat version, and honestly, when viewed from the side without the exhaust pipe, it looks incredibly cool and has a unique charm. So far, over six months, I've ridden more than 3,000 kilometers. First of all, its 710mm seat height is very approachable—at 168cm tall, I can plant both feet flat on the ground. The engine is the same as the one in the GV300S, which I've ridden before. The GV300S packs a bit of a punch, especially with slightly more throttle at low RPMs. However, the Excite 300 is much smoother, with more refined power delivery and no unpleasant noises. The engine runs with great quality. Although the burst of power is slightly reduced, the trade-off is a smoother riding experience, which I see as an improvement. Vibration control is quite good, noticeably better than the GV300S. The belt drive is exceptionally quiet, much quieter than chain-driven motorcycles, making for a very peaceful ride.

The Excite 300 looks sporty, and it rides just as it looks—extremely agile. Especially when carving through mountains, it goes exactly where you point it, leaning quickly and effortlessly. It doesn't have the heavy or laborious feel of typical cruisers, which is one of the Excite 300's biggest strengths.

Overall, since getting this motorcycle, my leisure time has become much richer. I can go on short rides with friends or wander aimlessly on my own, enjoying the scenery. It's such a pleasant and carefree experience—something you just can't get from driving a car.
